Hi,

i have a very annoying error. When i fill my domain a circle patch does not get filled with particles. See attached pictures my setup is a very simple cylinder and a circle inlet. What is going on here. I can send the file if necessary.

Thanks!

Sorry, have attached all the files now. Running with 20% and Euler. Yes, it looks normal in the Run tab but in post it gives this circle...

    Hi Clemens,

It looks like there is a Geometry Bin setup in the Analyst under setup Selections > Geometry Bin 01.  This is a cylinder and under Particle Selections > Geometry Bin 01 it's set to have 'Properties by Selection group' however 'Display particle selection' is not selected.

This means the bin is selecting the particles and then hiding them. Either de-selecting properties by selection group or selecting 'display particle selection' will show the particles.  Or deleting the Geometry Bin altogether if not needed will show the particles.

    Hi Clemens,

I am not sure what is happening from the image, can you attach or send the simulation and we can review.

    Hi Clemens,

Could you confirm what time-step and solver you were using?  This information is stored in the .dfg file which wasn't included.

I ran with EDEM 2023.1 and the CUDA GPU solver with default settings and so far it looks normal:
