Hi Clemens,
It looks like there is a Geometry Bin setup in the Analyst under setup Selections > Geometry Bin 01. This is a cylinder and under Particle Selections > Geometry Bin 01 it's set to have 'Properties by Selection group' however 'Display particle selection' is not selected.
This means the bin is selecting the particles and then hiding them. Either de-selecting properties by selection group or selecting 'display particle selection' will show the particles. Or deleting the Geometry Bin altogether if not needed will show the particles.Regards

Could you confirm what time-step and solver you were using? This information is stored in the .dfg file which wasn't included.I ran with EDEM 2023.1 and the CUDA GPU solver with default settings and so far it looks normal:
