Mass Calculation Formula

Hi, 

I am calculating mass for some PSHELL elements with steel material properties using GUI mass calc (tried both elems/comps) ; in the meantime, I am adding up all "structural mass" column under Component View and there is a significant difference between 2 numbers. I am sure the Rho is consistent and same for all PSHELLs.  Does anyone know what formula is used to calculate the mass in the GUI/Tool ?

Answering here as well for others benefit:

As far as I know, mass calculation with component selection is wrong. For Element selection, only the structural mass is exposed. For component selection, the Total Mass of the component is exposed, which includes Lumped masses, and mass transferred to rigids. The issue is known and under development.
