What is the best way to model the sea for ship simulation in FEKO?

Hello,

Working with infinite planes I am wondering what is the best method to model the sea beneath a ship. Any recommendations beyond using a homogeneous half space plane with a dielectric with sea water characteristics?

It would be interesting to see the effect of sea water roughness, if anyone has ideas to share on how to do so it would be much appreciated and an interesting discussion.

    Hello,

There are several things you could do. One Option would be to use the CADFEKO Macro "Create rough see surface", which will create a rough see depending on your input.

You can use this either to analye scattering using periodic boundaries or just union/include with your geometry.

That can be used in several frequency range with several solvers, depending on some assumptions.

    I hope this helps you
