I made drag and drop feature for Hm

It works pretty well on my HyperMesh as well. Thanks a lot. I wait for this feature from Altair for many years but it sounds hopeless. I have to copy/paste folder location containing *.hm file everyday.

I believe that you can create macro to drag and drop *.key, *.fem, *.nas also soon.

sure above macro can accept .key, .fem, .nas file

just drop them into your hypermesh

if you want to import them (instead of opening), hold down Ctr key while droping the files

I found the serious issue with this macro. After I install drag and drop macro, my hypermesh batch mesher does not work.

After I delete the macro folder, I can use Batch Mesh normally.

 

then, everyone should be careful when using this macro.

I fixed the problems

but i think you rarely use batch mesh because quality of HM batchmesh not so good

 

just neglect loading drag-n-drop mechanism when batchmesh loading pkgIndex.tcl

if {[lsearch $::auto_path */hm/scripts/batchmesh]==-1} {source [file join [file dirname [info script]] HmDnD.tbc]}

Yeah, I never use 'batch meshing' since ... Hypermesh 8.0 /emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>

Yes. The former of HM13, mesh did not caputure geometry features well. But I am OK with mesh quality in HM13. Perhaps, my models are more simple than yours.

Have a look at file 'READ_ME.txt' :

//Guide

Copy folder tkdnd2.6 into ...\hm\scripts folder

No need any other setting

Tinh, this script works only if its copied into hm/scripts folder. Can we please update that so it works outside the installation?

I have just updated it. Please download it again and

- copy folder 'tkdnd2.6' to any folder you want

- open hypermesh

- enter menu File>Run>Tcl tk script and browse to the folder 'tkdnd2.6' to run Installer.tcl file

- restart hypermesh

 

The same method can be applied to above packages 'hmcp' and 'tbopts'

its not working on hm 17.1

This drag and drop script is not working in Hypermesh 2017.2 version.

I have tried installing the script using the above mentioned method.

But, it didn't work.

Can you please help it work with HM 17 also?

there is a mistake on uploading the file,, you can use 'tbopts ' file to activate drag and drop

Really???, Installer.tcl is missing from folder tkdnd2.6, isn't it?

 

Yes you can copy Installer.tcl from folder tbopts to folder tkdnd2.6

It functions same except final message box title!
