Can you apply rotation speed(RPM) in hypermesh?
Hello, engineers.
I have a pair of gears, and I want to apply a speed to one of them and a torque to the other, and what I want most is that I apply a speed that causes the resonance of the gears, and then I can clearly see the force or displacement in the gears due to the resonance. If possible, analyze the fatigue life under resonance based on this force.
How to apply rotational speed? Which module is better for analysis?

Hey Weidong,
Body Rotational Forces can be applied by going to the Analyze Ribbon → Structural Group → Body Rotation Forces:
For your particular application, you might want to check the following instructor led trainings:
- Altair Course: OptiStruct for Linear Analysis
- Altair Course: OptiStruct for Dynamics and Vibrations
- Altair Course: HyperLife Fatigue Analysis in Frequency Domain
Kind Regards,

What I want is that one gear applies speed, one gear applies torque, and I want to see the stress of the gear at a certain moment in time, It will be a stress that changes over time. Not looking at static loading caused by a centrifugal force field. Is this achievable?
Kind Regards,

Yes, sure.
That'd be an enforced displacement → SPCD.
