when i delete components in a assembly the related copy is deleted also

Hello, I am a new user in this community

I am using hyperworks 2021.2

 

I have a model with multiple assemblies that i created on the Assemblies Tab to sort my model to sub assemblies

Assemblie1_old(Components)

Assemblie2_new(sub_assemblie1,sub_assemblie2,......)

when i sort components from an assemblie to a certain other assembly with the Organize tool, a duplicate is made in the destination with the original component left in the first assembly rather than Transfering the components to the new destination, and also a dependence is left between the original and the transfered component so when i try to delete one of them they are both deleted. instead i have to use remove by right mouse  click on one of the components , the issue with remove is that it is not visible whene selecting more than one componenet.

is there a way to send components to a new assembly without leaving a copy in the original assembly, and is there a solution for the dependency between the components ?

    Hello 

    Can you try opening the assembly browser by double clicking on assembly in model browser. Select components and just and drop to a new assembly. For me it wasn't creating a duplicate components.

    Also , for Organize option , The copy option is greyed when we are moving components to a different assembly so it shouldn't be able to create a duplicate copy of the existing component

    I would also recommend you to use the Parts Browser to create a part assembly. You can access the Part browser from Assembly -> Parts . Right click on Part Browser and select option to create part assembly. You can then drag and drop parts to the Part assemblies.
