How to add internal solid faces to contact surface in Hypermesh
Hello everyone,
I want to create a contact surface in HyperMesh for an ESLM optimiziation with Optistruct.
The contact surface should include solid faces but unfortunately HyperMesh only choses the outer faces of solid elements and not the internal ones. While the ESLM optimization solid elements will be deleted. So some of the internal faces become an outer face. Therefore I also need the internal faces in the contact surface.
The only way I found is to mask a row of elements and then chose the internal faces, which are now viewable. But it´s much work to do it manually. Is there any way to chose all internal solid faces automaticly ?
Thank you !

Hi I remember that someone has answered this question by using panel 3d>detach>detach all Then you can create interior faces Refer this: https://community.altair.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=5f76083a1b2bd0908017dc61ec4bcbe5&anchor=answer_1cf1dc7a1bebd0908017dc61ec4bcb27&view_source=searchResult1

It seems to work, thank you.
But there are problems, when I do this whith a big amount of elements. Hypermesh freezes.
