Hi every one,

this is the erorr which appear after I start a size optimization:

*** ERROR # 1859 ***
Discrete optimization is not available for topology, topography or
free-sizing optimization.

I can't understant what this errore is due to, could someone help me? Thanks

Hi could you attach the .out file here?

And what exactly is your optimization setup? Can you share a picture of your Model Browser in th Optimization View tab?

Hi,

From the out file it looks like you have both a topology design domain and sizing optimization design variables. Can you try removing the topology design domain? That should allow the fstosz DVs to work.

From the .out:
Total # of topology design elements : 852
Total # of topology cards : 1
Total # of user-defined sizing design variables : 32
Total # of user-defined design variables : 34

I haven't set a topology optimization how it's possible I have a topology variables? I'm trying to remove the topology design domain but the error message is the same. I have attached the model, can you help me to remove it? Thanks
