Monarch Projects Not Saving

Question

Good Morning,

I am trying to create a project and model for a report within Monarch. When I get my report design completed to trap all of the details I need and save the project and model my work disappears when I go back into the project and try and  apply a new report. Is there something I need to do differently or a different way to save it so my report design saves so I can apply new report days to it?

Hi Kelsey,

Your description of the steps sounds OK.

The model contains all the extraction and transformation meta data.
The project contains the path to the report; the path to the model; and any defined exports

i.e. - you can't move the model to another folder before opening the project as the model path will be invalid - but this scenario should have been revealed by the error messages when you opened the project.

What do you mean by the work disappearing after opening the project? What happens if you try and go into the table? Is it completely unavailable or does it have your column headings, but with no rows of data? This will tell us if the model is totally unavailable or just not working in this session.

If you have not defined any project exports, then it sounds like the project will not be necessary in this scenario. Could you also try to open just the model, please? Does that let you get into the empty table? Then try and drag in the report - does that now give you your new data in the table?
