If Flux have the option for element normal as in HyperWorks

Hi,

I am tring to simulation anisotropic induction scenario. Do Flux have the similar option to define material orientation as Hypermesh/works.

Eventually I will have more denser mesh and I think every single of them I will need to manually generating the volume region, and each region I will have different orientation of plies.

Is there any better way to doing this in Flux?

Thanks,

Jerome

    Hi Jerome,

No I don't think we had that option in Flux. As you mentioned, you need to create a separate volume region with different orientation for each one. I believe there was a script to access the mesh elements and assign them directly to the regions without creating separate volume ( I know there was a solution like this on 2D but not sure if it works on 3D). This might safe you sometime on separating the volumes and creating the mesh again. Let me check and get back to you.

    Thanks,
