Hello,

Every time I try to run a topological optimization with Altair Inspire I have the same problem: the optimization seems done at 100%, while the software does not allow me to view the results because the run status is still running (picture). What is the problem?

I am using the student version of the software.

Thank you

    Hi,

Please share your model. Apologies for the late reply.

    Hello Nimisha,

It is surely not a problem of the model, because on other devices the optimization run without problems.

Anyway I share here the model with its optimization folder attached

I have this same issue with Inspire 2019. (those pics should be in the opposite order; aka, red x after the green '100%' status bar).

Additionally, all analyses freeze at 64% and never complete. They eventually show up with a red x, as a failure.

This happens with models I have created, and with those that I've dragged and dropped from the Inspire webinar course file folder 'INSPIRE for Structural Analysis and Optimization -V2019'

Please install the latest EDU version of Inspire(2019.0.1) and check again. Above shared y bracket file, runs fine at my end.

I have exact the same problem and i already got the 2019.0.1 EDU version of Inspire.

It seems to be a problem of Inspire 2019 in combination with a specific Hardware configiration.

By the way, in version 2017.1 the same model runs perfectly.

Can you change the run directory (preferences: Run options : Run history path)  and run again. If possible share .stmod file for quick look.

I am able to run shared .stmod file with Inspire 2019.1 with slight modification. Is this happening for all Inspire optimization & analysis runs?

If possible please share the license file you are using.

    Hi Yifan, All

Can you please make sure there is no space or special characters in the username in windows?  let us know if this solves the issue

I have the exact same issue on 2019.0.1 EDU.

My username is 'FIRSTNAME LASTNAME'. Does the space count as a special character? Regardless, changing my username is not really a solution as making that change would require me changing login accounts and everything on my PC.

Is there a solution to this issue??

    Thanks.

Has this problem been solved by anyone? I am having it as well, after downloading Inspire today. I have a student license and have been trying to run through an Altair optimization tutorial with a pre-loaded part. Need this program for multiple projects, so I would love to find a solution. Thanks

    Hello,

we enhanced Altair INSPIRE to address the issues in this thread. You can download and install INSPIRE 2019.4 to check your reported models on the same hardware as you used to. Please inform us, if the error still occurs.

Altair Inspire 2019.4 can be downloaded from https://connect.altair.com - please use a university mail address to register on this customer portal (no gmail etc. can be approved).

After installing inspire 2019.4, should delete old version or is better to leave it?

    Thanks

You can delete or keep the old installation - whichever you prefer. The old Inspire files are compatible with the new installation, so there is no urgent need to keep the installation from that perspective.

    Hello,

I have the same problem (still running at 100%) and I tried using 2019.4 but it did not change anything. I have student license.

At first I thought it is insufficient computational power (RAM, CPU etc. )problem so I made design space a small section and made target mass to 99%. It reached 100% completed in 10 minutes but I waited 12 hours after that and it did not finish. So it looks like it completed the job but it cannot display it. I dont have any idea what is the problem. I am planning to take a blind shots to solve the problem:

    -use different version (2017.1 maybe)

-use different computer (can we use the same license on another computer?)

-change the imported file type (I import the files from Solidworks in .sldprt format maybe change to .step)

Is there anyone that could solve the problem?

Is there still no Solution for this Problem? I have it with Altair 2022.3. It runs on a Remote Desktop of the University. Colleagues of mine can run the same file with the same settings on the same Remote Desktop perfectly fine. I use a Macbook Air M1 to access the Remote Desktop (Windows 11), could that be the Problem?
