Exporting deformed geometry in Simsolid

Hi, is it possible to perform a structural analysis (linear) and export the deformed geometry?

    Hi,

     

    You can only export the images or animations of the deformed geometry using the Bookmark browser as shown in the image below. To know how to do this, follow the instructions given in this link: https://2020.help.altair.com/2020/ss/topics/user_interface/bookmark_browser_simsolid_r.htm

    Simsolid is a tool for designer. 

    So if you want to get deformed form (the mesh, not geometry), try Optistruct or another FE solver.

    Hi,

    Yup you can do that. Here are the steps

    Go to Project Tree > Right Click on any Results branch > Export.

    You can also right-click on the results of structural analysis and export deformed shape of the entire assembly.

    The deformed shape can be exported as .ssg file only. Which software can open an .ssg file?
