Hi,

I have a model that contains many 1D beams. In hypermesh, it is possible to view 1d elements as '1D traditional and detailed element representation'. Is it possible to do this in Hyperview?

Kind Regards,

Laurence

    Hi,

only a generic visualization is available for 1D elements in HV.

    Preferences>Options>Visualization>All 1D elements>Cylinder

I'm curious to know if generic visualization is still the only case, or if it has become possible to view 1D elements in Hyperview using '1D detailed representation' as in Hypermesh?

Not yet. But in an upcoming release with HMPOST (post processing within Hypermesh) you will have all the same functionality as Hypermesh preprocessing (now with results :))

Is it possible to set the 1D visualisation in tcl, so I can turn it on for some models, and off for others?

    Hi everyone,

just wanted to mention that as quoted already in this thread, HM has the 1D detailed representation available BUT it also has now advanced post processing capabilities and enables combining them together.

Please, look at this video attached, showing how I can import results on top of my model with the new workflows (supported now for OptiStruct, Nastran, Abaqus and Ansys solver profiles) and display 1D elemental forces on top of the 3D viz of the same elements.

Also a screenshot here below as quick teaser

    image

Only remarks: this works on elemental bound data and not (yet) for nodal bound values (we are working on the graphics enhancement to visualize the variation of the values from one node to the other including the rendering of the section)

Hope this could be of help for your processes.

    Thanks

    Michele
