Reflect Meshed Surface
Dear sir or madame,
I am currently trying to set up a simulation for our teams CFRP-rim.
In order to facilitate my meshing process, I trimmed the rim surface, so that only 60 degrees of the symmetrical surface were left. ( se attached picture1). For my simulation I need the hole rim, so that I thought about reflecting the surface and mesh on planes defined by nodes of the surfaces side edges.
Finally, my problem is, that the mesh and surface reflect, but the original surface and mesh doesn't exist anymore.
I would be very thankful if you could help me with this issue
Thank you very much for your help
kind regards

Hello,
to keep the original mesh and surface, you have to make the 'duplicate' selection by clicking on the yellow entity selector field.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
This will keep your original mesh / surfaces, while only the duplicated selection will be reflected. Make sure that you choose the right component (current vs. original) when selecting. And merge the duplicate FE nodes by using the Tool - Edges - Equivalence function.
