Run the input file through the batch pre-processor to check for syntax errors.

'STL' is NOT FE meshing !!!
Start your profile with Abaqus within Hypermesh and begin to make your mesh on it.

Hi
I try to export a model with 2 different components with mesh, but when I import it in Abaqus they are all in one part.
How can I import them as 2 different parts

Hi
I use HM 2017.2 and Abaqus 6.13-4
I have a model with 2 components in HM. I used HM/ABAQUS standard 2D. I exported my model as *.inp file but when I imported it in ABAQUS it combined 2 components into 1 part instead of 2 parts

Hi I found what is the problem with this error.
The topic is old but the problem remains (I use 2021.2)
Spend an hour to resolve - so maybe other users will find this hint useful
Your model may be fine.
Problematic is a dot "." inside a .inp file
when you change it to "vol001" instead of "vol001.1" (or anything else) but without that dot import in ABAQUS will be fine.
When this is happend.
During a creating many components in HyperMesh Components the name with "." may appear.
So just change the name in HyperMesh and remove the dot.
