Hello ,

I want to know how to find the center of gravity of the model in Hypermesh?

Could anyone tell me whether Hypermesh has the function to find the center of gravity, if it does, where can I find the function?

Thanks for help !!

Best regard !

Jeff

    Hi Jeff

This functionality is available using summary templates. Go to the 'post' page in the menu, and then 'summary'. The names of the file to pick depends on your solver. For nastran, load the summary template file <installdir>templates/summary/nastran/ctr_of_gravity. The output file is a text file that it will create, summarizing the mass and C of G info for the entire model.

Click on summary to generate it.

    Cheers,

    Eric

    Hi Jeff,

I tried this but this is asking for mass as this is showing that mass is zero. Do we have to give mass , material or property  to find CG.
