"The file being opened for reading does not exist"
Any reason for the error in the bottom right that says 'the file being opened for reading does not exist'? I've ran the files before successfully, until recently i've gotten this error, which leads to a blank viewer.
Any help please.

Hi,
Can you remove all embedded spaces in the file's name and path name and try opening the file.

Hi,
I am getting the same message at left bottom of the screen, everytime I open Hypermesh. I see the same message at same location when I go to element check (shortcut F10) and click on any of the checks.
How to get rid of this issue?
Thank you,
Sandesh

Hi Sandesh,
This error can occur if the working directory is set incorrectly.
To fix this issue please follow these steps:
1) Right click on the shortcut icon of HM that you usually use. Select properties.
2) Select the Shortcut tab if not previously selected.
3) Confirm that the directory listed next to 'Start in' is a valid directory. If not, please enter a valid directory. The default is '%USERPROFILE%\Documents' without quotes. %USERPROFILE is an alias for C:\Users\<your_username>. Check the attached image for your reference.
4) Press OK. Re-open hypermesh. This should hopefully fix the problem.
If the working directory is set incorrectly, HyperMesh will not be able to create and use settings and log files which can cause this error.0 -

Hi,
Can you delete all the settings files and try again. Please check the below post which shows deleting the settings files.
Note: Close all the HyperWorks sessions before deleting these files.
