hstbatch on linux

I would like to run hstbatch on my linux box. I have no problems running HyperStudy using the GUI. But when I gave the command,

<install directory>/scripts/hstbatch [-studyfile 'Study_1.xml' -preffile '<local directory>/my_preferences_study.mvw']

I got the following print out,

1 Error: Altair License Manager: License error

Invalid license file syntax.

Feature: GlobalGridWorksEU

License path: /share/apps/hyperworks/Linux/10.0/altair/security/altair_lic.da -

FLEXnet Licensing error:-2,413

For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing End User Guide,

available at 'www.macrovision.com'.

The file altair_lic.dat is empty since the license resides on our license server.

    I added ALTAIR_LM_LICENSE_FILE=port@host and there was no problem with the license for HyperStudy.
