Hello users,

I've converted a series of MNFs using the Flex Prep utility without generating any errors or warnings. They all load fine except the largest one (101,214 KB, 50 CBPs), which generates this error:

Error: Error encountered reading: Flex Interface Nodes Block

The original MNF loads fine in ADAMS. Any suggestions?

    Hi Stefano,

We have handled large mnf files in FlexPrep earlier with success. May I know what you mean by 50 CBP's? Thanks.

There are fifty interface nodes (CBPs = Craig Bampton Points), ranging in numbers between 1 and 350.

Thanks for the reply Stefan. Will it be possible for you to share the mnf file with us to debug further? You can place the file in our ftp site (ftp.altair.com).

Hi Stefano, I was able to generate the h3d file without any errors. Can you check to see if you have the 036 patch installed in your system? If not, please follow the link: http://www.altairhyperworks.com/ClientCenterHWUpdateDownload.aspx?top_nav_str=1&pro_cat=hw to download the same. Installing this will hopefully resolve your issue. Let me know how it went.

the patch did not help. The file is being created with NO errors or warnings issued after the flex prep. It is when I load the file using HyperView, that the error message is generated. Please clarify if you can load the file and animate the modes.

Hi Stefano, I was able to animate & see the modes in HyperView. I think I should also suggest you to update your machine with the 030 patch (related to post-processing). Can you please do this and let me know if you still face any issues? Thanks.

Forgot to mention this in my earlier reply. You can use the same link that I gave you before and select HWDesktop - 030 patch this time.
