*Mat_add_erosion

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to run a simulation involving Mat_83, modelling a foam. As this Mat card doesn't have erosion, I want to add *Mat_add_erosion to it but I'm struggling to understand how to do it in Hypermesh (10.0, LS-Dyna keyword 971)..

If ou have any idea on how to do it, feel free to give me a hint!

I have just found out how to do this myself.

From the PROPERTY branch on the model tree, choose CREATE. Then in the Create Propert window that appears, make sure that Type is set to all, the pick it from the Card image drop down list.

Hi romain,

I tried the way you mentioned, i.e. in property, add_erosion. But when i add it to a part it is giving error. Please guide me.

I have a part. It is made of foam. So i addded foam material. To accomidate erosion, I assigned add_erosion property. Instead of Solid-section. But it is giving error. ( Part id 1, with section id desnt exist.)

In this method, we are not mentioning section as solid section. Please also explain me about this issue.

I am new to hyperworks. Please guide me for the following things. I am using V10.

could you please explain me how to incorporate *mat_add_erosion to foam.

I can create property with card type add add_erosion.

a) how to add it to part.

/emoticons/default_cool.png' alt='B)'> when i delete the property add_erosion, the proerty number is showing as 6 or 7, depending on no.of times i deleted the property. But, if i add property with solidsection card, it is showing as 2. Even after renumbering add_erosion property is not renumbering but solidsection property can undergo renumbering. What needs to be dont to allow add_erosion property to allow renumbering.

c) can we assign solid section and add_erosion to same part.
