why does the F10 key cann't find the duplicate elements?
As the subject show,in my model (1d cbar elements dominant in the model)
Some cbar is duplicated and can only show with element id label on
but when i want to use F10 check the duplicates to save failed for easy deleting, the F10 cann't find the duplicates.
A few days earlier,the F10 still worked
Can anybody give some advice
thanks in advance

i'm not sure but maybe because of a bug, try exiting and starting the app again
or try to export your model and then import it again.

It should be the bug which have the same problems as beforebut i usually coped it by deleting the command.cmf and hmmenu.set file in the hm file foleder after exit the hypermesh and restart hypermesh again
This time i try to use the same way ,eventually i fail

The model should be firstly equivalenced. Then you can find the duplications.

As previously mentioned: Try Tools-->check elements select 1D,2D or 3D elements (depending on your model) and then click 'length'. Note the max. length shown at the lower left corner. Go to Tools-->Edges and set tolerance equal or less than the number you have seen before (max. element length). Select the elements from your model (or components) and click show equivalence. If there are any unequivalenced nodes, they will be shown. Equivalence the nodes and then you can check for duplicates, using Tools-->check elements-->Duplicates...

You have to renumber ID (Tools>renumber), Check duplicates just for element position

Hi jbarrie
If your error message is referring to any element, delete that particular element and recreate it.
if this is refering to nodes, as Tinh said, please renumber.
