    Hi Pratik,

    what is the use case?

    Do you want to make the spring as a rigid using PBUSH property?

    if that was the case, you can use RIGID in PBUSH card.

    Pbush is specific to Cbush, RBE 2 will not accommodate properties of any kind.

    @tinh

    i first defined RBE2 element by 1D>rigids...

    Then Model Broser> create Property> Pbush> Define Property

    Then Model browser > component> Property> Pbush.

    Hi Pratik, in your bulk data RBE2 has no data field referring to PBUSH #1

    so actually the PBUSH is not linked to RBE2

    in hypermesh you can assign property to a RBE2 component but output bulk data of RBE2 have only ID, Inode, Dofs, Dnodes

    Pratik,

    what is the reason to give a PBUSH property to RIGID elements?

    A rigid element like RBE2 will be rigid all DoFs and RBE2 doesn't carry a PID as Tinh said.

    Do you mean removing Pbush property will have no effect . Also then using Spring element with C Bush property with dof set to zero will better way to modell structutre fixed to rigid support

    Yes you can remove the PBUSH, the better way to model structure fixed to rigid support is to create RBE2 at nodes of structure and apply SPC for one of nodes of the RBE2. SPC is rigid support
