Hi mush ab,
The option that the Event Inputs is providing is to either:
- Use the designated Model Units for the values you enter for Lateral Offset, Length of Sections, etc.
- Override the Model Units and use "m" or "ft".
The Model Units (or "Solver Units") are located in the Model System >> Data Sets >> Solver Units.
If you have "mm" chosen as your unit of length in the Solver Units Data Set, then when you choose "Units: Model" in the Event Input this will also be the unit of length for your Event parameters.
If you instead choose "Units: ft", then the values you enter in Event Inputs will be interpreted as being in the unit of feet.
I hope that helps,
Patrick

Hello mush ab
The MotionView model by default has a unit setting, which can be accessed from the browser
The Units option in the Event editor is offering a choice of providing the parameters for the events either in the unit set for the Model in the Solver Units dataset (default is mm) or other units such as meter and feet.
Hope this helps

Hi mush ab,
The Event Inputs is allowing you the option to define your Event parameters in either:
- The units specified in Model >> Data Sets >> Solver Units (these are the "Model" units)
- The units of your choice, which will override the chosen Solver Units in the case of the Event definition
For example, if you have "mm" chosen for your unit of length in your Solver Units, and then if you choose in your Event Inputs "Units: Model", then a Lateral Offset = 3000 will be interpreted by the solver as 3000 mm.
If you instead choose "Units: ft" in the Event Inputs, and your Lateral Offset = 3000, then this will be interpreted as 3000 ft regardless of your designated Solver Units.
I hope this helps,
Patrick
