I have a model with three volumes, in which outside volumes are 1st order hex mesh with different element sizes..

In the sand witch volume(Middle volume) i want to mesh with higher order tet only (With 3D tet mesh quad to tet smooth option : This will keep the 1st order hex faces & creates tet/pyramids inside)...If do that i see the free/hanging nodes between the shared surfaces...

I want hex mesh first order & tet mesh 2nd order ..Interface pyramids needs to drop the mid nodes to match the first order hex elemnent faces..

In ansys this is simple like mesh with solid 95, it will create 2nd order tet elements inside with faces in the shared region 1st order..But i cant mesh in ansys as the model is very complex assembly

Please reply!!!!!!! This is very urgent..

I AM WORKING in one of the reputed multinational company

    Hello Suresh,

You for the components which are bricks, you could use the 'find attached' option to change the layer of tets which are connected to bricks to first order, while leaving the rest of the tets 2nd order.

Tool -> find -> find attached

    Hope this helps
