BAR(2) - change the orientation direction

Hi to all,

is there a way to change the orientation of CBAR elements, when using Hypermesh with Nastran user profile?

In other words, if I create several bar2 elements in a clockwise direction along a circle line, how can I 'change' the bar to be in counterclockwise direction?

Hi,

Do you mean to say that you want to orient the axis of the CBAR element?

In such case you can use Orientation option in bars panel. Select the elements, change the orientation axis and click update.

You can do it by reflect them by plane of the circle line (maintain Z-axis of bars)
