Hello guys,

Can we give thickness to shell elements on one side only, instead of giving thickness to mid surface of the shell element?

Hi Satish,

You can either use ZOFF in PSHELL card to offset elements or use Element Offset panel.

(2D>> Element offset)

For this requirement, please card edit PSHELL card and check the ZOFFS option under CONT.

You can now use the ZOFFS=TOP/Bottom option.

Kindly note that this change in thickness assignment cannot be visualized.
