Results across element boundaries
I am doing a simple stress analysis on a 3D meshed part (with PSOLIDs). I will be doing an optimization also so I need to break the model into design and non-design regions. I have an IGES model which i import, which has 3 different regions. It is a simple beam with the base and tip as separate bodies for non-design and the midle as design. When I run RADIOSS it only shows the stresses & displacements on the tip section and not the other 2.
It must be something wrong with my model, because I run the model from the tutorial carm.hm which is just geometry and it works fine. Do the bodies which i assign to the design and non design component and property collectors need to be connected or something?
In a related topic, if I solve it as just one big body and only select elements to be design and non-design it works mostly, but at the interface between the design and non-design elements the stresses are not continuous accross these boundaries. Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello, I have this problem. I imported an archive IGES with two components, design space and nondesign space. It`s a problem similar of carm.hm. When I shows the stresses and displacement, don`t appear this components. Do the bodies need to be connected in Hypermesh?
Thanks
