What is difference between Constraining nodes(directly from analysis->constraints)  vs. rbe3? I am trying to do tensile test using Ls-dyna solver. Please post your comments.

    Hi,

    thats are complete different things:

*constraints: is a boundary condition of type *BOUNDARY_SPC_NODE in LSDyna

*RBE3: is a element of type *CONSTRAINED_INTERPOLATION in LSDyna

*BOUNDARY_SPC_NODE is more or less equivalent to a SPC in Nastran / Radioss Bulk

*CONSTRAINED_INTERPOLATION is more or less a RBE3 element in Nastran / Radioss (but not the same)

Please refer LSDyna Manual for mor details.

    Regards,

    Mario
