How to refine mesh in surface using refinement box option ?

I want to refine the mesh in certain portion of a surface and used refinement box option. But it refine only the interior elements and keep the surfece elements same. How to refine the surface using refinement box or is there any better option i can use ?

Hi,

Use Remesh option in Tetramesh optimization dialogue box to remesh the elements within the refinement box.

Thanks. Now is it OK if i delete ' Element size control ' (in the component list) ?

yes, no problem. Once the meshing optimization is done, you can delete the temporary size component.

Hi, I ma trying to follow this procedure but I cannot force elements located on the solid boundary faces to remesh/refine also. Can you help me with that and take a look:

I also have the same issue as pkozlovsky. The free face are not re-meshed even though the 'Remesh' option is chosen.

Any idea?

If I were you, i will remesh its faces, then recreate tetra. Just 5 minutes.
