NSM in PCOMP
Altair EmployeeHi,
i'm trying to put some NSM (non-structural mass) in my model. I'm using the Nastran interface of Hypermesh. I already set the value in the PCOMP property shell.
What I have to do now? If i simply mesh my surface, NSM is not counted when I checky the total mass using the available utility. Why?

Altair EmployeeMy problem is that I proprably cannot find the proper way to insert che NSML1 card. How do u do it? I can't believe there's no guide on how to insert non-structural mass cards!
the menu is on Analysis>nsm
If you don't remember menu name, you can create specific cards from pulldown menu Tools>Create Cards>N>NSML1
it will guide you to correct menu

if you use tools/mass calc to check mass then perhaps NSM was not taken into account
so you can use post/summary and browse to nastran/include/masscalc
this template will calculate mass with respect to NSM
