Dear all,

I have a query regarding a warning message I get when I check for bad mesh connectivity in ANSYS. I had been meshing a component in Hypermesh. I had used SHELL181 for meshing. I had checked and verified the node connectivity in Hypermesh itself and imported it to Ansys as CDB file. But when checking for bad mesh connectivity in ANSYS, I get following warning-

Element x node x is part of a set of x exterior element faces.

One or more elements may be missing from the analysis model.

Some of the elements are on the T-junction. What should be done in this case?

Please suggest solution to fix this problem. Can anyone had same problem?

thank you,

Regards,

NYKS

I think you should try Ansys FE Modeler module to convert FE models into Ansys format, i tried a few times and it was perfect. It reads many FE model data and it can convert them.
