Hello,

I need help regarding this matter. After line meshing a roll cage chassis i created and viewing it through 3D element representation, it appears that the middle section of my chassis does not have elements to it (whereas the sides do).

Also, after meshing, it appears that a new component is made which is overlapping the initial lvl0 component.

May I have an explanation for this?

Thank you very much for any help.

    Hello Nguyen,

Thanks for your reply. I've already assigned property to all the components, after meshing it using 1d line mesh, it shows that all elements have been placed on my lines. But when i view it in 3-d element representation, some of the lines are not turned into my beam section.

I followed the tutorials on youtube exactly but I have this problem. Any ideas?

    Thank you for your help.

Perhaps in panel line mesh you did not change elem type from 'rod' to 'bar'. properties must match corresponding element types

    Hello Nguyen,

    http://tinypic.com/r/ayzbk/8

The above is a link to the image. If you notice, the middle section of the chassis is gone, it did not turn into 3d elements, but remained as lines.

    Dear tinh,

Element type is bar2. If you could look at the image, it's still the same.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

I also do not understand why after line meshing, a new component (with ID 2) is created? Does this affect anything?

Thanks for the help, I'm new to Hyperworks.

I dont think that will affect your results until you assign property and material to the right component.

Humm, perhaps you should share your model (delete other elems and retain non-displayed ones)

did you try switch again 'traditional' and '3d representation' display options?

If the current component is emptied then a new one will be created. this may occur when you deleted current component
