Trouble with picking nodes

I imported a geometry from ug to hypermesh and generated the mid-surface

the mid surface generated is torn at a few points but this issue can easily be resolved by merging nodes.

so i went to geom>point edit>replace now when i try to select the moved point, it just isn't getting picked by hypermesh

same problem occurs when i try to merge the edges and also when i try through quick edit

I even reinstalled hypermesh but still the problem persists.

I opened the same file on a friend's system and it was working fine..

can anyone help me out??

Can you be more specific? When editing geometry, you should be selecting points, not nodes, so your message is unclear what you are trying to accomplish?
