Open .modfem file in Hypermesh

Hi guys,

 

I need open a .modfem file in hypermesh, however the nastran profile not open the file.

 

Somebody can help me?

    Is this a format of Siemens PLM Femap software? If yes, I don't think you can import it directly into Hypermesh.

    However, from FEMAP you can export into NASTRAN and then import into Hypermesh.

     

    Attention: FEMAP uses Siemens NX Nastran, not MSC Nastran. I can't found NX Nastran in supported list of Hypermesh yet.

    Hi All,

     

    from FEMAP compatibility on exporting solver decks,Import and export – solvers supported include Nastran® (NX, MSC/MD, NEi), Abaqus, Ansys, LS-Dyna, Marc, Patran, Sinda/G, I-deas, CAEFEM are allowed.

     

    You may try any of those. NX nastran 9 is supported.
