Catia - Hypermesh - Ansys WB
Hi all,
i´m dealing with this task a long time and hope that you could help me please.
I created a furnace with an inner board in Catia V5. Then imported it into Hypermesh and after meshing into Ansys Workbench. There i use the Finite Element Modeler to import the .cas file and continue with the Fluid Flow (CFX) analysis. If i do this without the board it works pretty well and i can define the bc´s and so on and simulate. But with the board it doesn´t work. I´m not able to define the board in cfx. Its detected as a normal 2D region, but i think i´ll need to define it 3D? If i check the initial geometry in FE Modeler it detects the body as a part and the board is detected as a problematic face. It would be very nice if anyone has an idea or some help. By the way in hypermesh i imported the geometry as .iges and then created two solids (frame and board). Went on with meshing (2d, size and bias) the two parts and then created the cfd tetramesh. There i selected the frame and the board as With boundary layer (fixed) and a inflow and outflow as W/o boundary layer (float). After meshing it looks pretty good. I get my boundary layers in the furnace and around the board and the tetramesh in the furnace. Export and import is going well and the the problem appears.
If u need you need more information, just ask me.
Regards from Germany,
Alex

You can build it for nothing.
