Hi there,

How can we input the material properties for a nonlinear material like NILON?

Here I have the Stress Vs strain curve data, density, tensile modulus, etc., with me as an input...

Thanks In Advance

    Hi,

it's different for every solver... so there is no global answer.

    Regards,

    Mario

    Sorry,

I am flexible with radioss and nastran,..

Whether the material card is belongs to HYPERELASTIC or something else.?

    Hi,

I am not very familiar with NASTRAN, because i work mostly on Abaqus.

But yes, you can include the stress-strain curve in your material definition. Nylon is not an Hyperelastic material, Hyperelastics are defined by definining the strain energy potentials (material models such as marlow,ogden,neo-hookean,yeoh etc).

So for hyper-elastic materials which material card should I use?

Please let me know if you have any idea on this...

    Hi Jodha,

    Use MATS1 in OptiStruct

    Thanks Prakash...

But in that how can I enter the strain coefficient values?

    Jodha,

Try with MATX02 in OptiStruct. This works with only NLGEOM analysis
