Hello everyone,

It would be really helpful, if some one can guide me through orientation of cbeam elements.

By default, undesired orientation appears. I would like to orient the beam as picture 2.

Thanks.

Kind regards.

    Hi Giri,

try changing the orientation component or try a combination of components.

    Dear Pagadala,

I tried changing it with combos but, I don't get the desired orientation. Can you suggest any tutorial or sort for good understanding?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, I can't do it. It belongs to a company. Can you tell/show, how to manipulate the orientation of a 1D element wrt a line or between two nodes?

    Giri,

Try with orienting with a vector.

Create a vector (Analysis page>> Vectors) using two nodes.

Use the same vector which you have created to orient the beam.

    Dear Pagadala,

It works better than previous but, the midpoint of the beam is in coincides with line between two nodes. I want one side (highlighted) of the beam (See fig 2) to coincide with the line between two nodes.

    Thanks.
