ERROR: Incorrect Node Sequencing and Needs Renumbering
Hi,
I've checked the forum and found another post on this but what was expressed in that thread was an older version and it seems the answers may have changed. I basically am having a problem with some of my solid TRIA elements and their numbering. Currently, I'm getting an error that says,
' *** ERROR #2502 *** Element 2369226 had innocent node numbering sequence and needs renumbering.'
which was repeated twice. If anyone has any advice or help, that would be much appreciated! Also, it mentions something along these lines,
' Note: Please import the model into HyperMesh and export it. This will fix the problem related to the incorrect node numbering. Another option is to use PARAM, RENUMOK.'
which I tried and didn't find much success on (There isn't even an option for PARAM, RENUMOK in the control cards in version 13.0).

Hi,
normally it happens only if you are creating elements and switch off 'auto order' option (never do this).
My suggestion is to delete the elements (or maybe all elements at the region, if you have geometry for recreating) and create new elements.
Best regards,
Mario

Hi Mario,
In regards to the 3-D elements (because these are the elements the error is concerned about), what do you mean by switching off 'auto order' option. I'm using tetramesh and I don't see an option for this. I'll take a look in meshing preferences but could you be more specific as to what that is? I've never even heard of that option until now! Until you I can hear back from you on the details of 'auto order', I'm going to attempt decreasing the mesh size to see if that helps with some of the Jacobian errors I'm also getting with a few of my 3-D elements. Thanks for your quick reply!
