Hello,

I'm useing Hypermesh for modelling and Optistruct for solving.

If I want to solve via the radiobutton: Analysis --> OptiStruct but it just gives me the *.fem file. (Picture below)

I can solve via a *.bat file but can't view the results in Hyperview.

Only Hyperplay is possible.

So I think Hyperview wasn't installed?! But how can I install just hyperview.

I installed the edu2017_win64.exe and also got the Altair_lic.dat. I'm using Hyperworks 2017 Student Edition<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>hyperview_prob.thumb.JPG.4630900a61ee2c9bb80cce903b7f4f4a.JPG

Once the analysis is done then just click on the results from Hyperworks solver view to load HyperView for post processing.PFA screenshot for same.

Or in existing session also you can change client to HyperView and load .h3d file for postprocessing.

Thank you, it works now. I didn't know that I can not open HyperView directly from the folder where the  *.h3d file is.

    But...

How can I change the settings, that if I put on the button 'Optistruct' the solver is activated like on your picture. Because in my case it just write the *.fem file and I have to use a *.bat file for the calculation with optistruct.

Once you submit job, HyperView will be greyed out. This is the limitation in Student Edition. As mentioned above you can use above method to plot results.

I have the same problem, but when launching the calculation in OptiStruct, the 'RESULT' button does not appear.

Result button will not appear if you have error in the input deck.Check .out file for the error.

If analysis completed sucessfully, then you can plot output with above suggested method.

I have the same problem, but the hyperworks solver view does not run. How can I run it?

    Hi Krzysiek

    Can you please explain more.

Are you able to invoke the solver and complete the job?

I have the same problem. I go onto analysis, then optistruct. The analysis goes fine, no errors (I think) and says ANALYSIS COMPLETED. I have no results button though. I can open them on hyperview but I have to do it manually. Any ideas?
