Hi,

i want to create a Sandwich plate with a honeycomb core, like shown in the attachment. I want to do that with the tool hyperlaminate. My upper and lower plate is normal aluminum createt with the MAT1 Card. But how can to create the honeycomb core? I thought i could make it with the MAT8 Card, but I don´t find any properties for the Input. I took the MAT8 Card, because my moddel is built up with shell elements.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi @hubéry10

You can model honeycomb with Shell elements using PCOMPP with MAT8 card or 3D elements using PSOILD and MAT9 /MAT9ORT .

thanks for the fast answer. So i created my Laminate like this. In the Pictures you can see my material Cards and the HyperLaminate window. The property for the Honeycomb is from Hexcel.com. The values are different because I convertet the values from the american System to SI Units.

You need to provide the poisons ratio. Also, if you have Young's modulus in 2 direction it would be good enough or provide a small value.
