    Hi,

Please let us know for which solver are you referring to.

    Hello, Prakash

Now I have the same problem with Jones, I use Optistrut as the solver. Could you tell me how to apply this force?

    Hi,

Can you define the use case?

What is the analysis about and what type of analysis?

You can use PBUSHT elements with type as KN to give force Vs deflection curve.

    Hi Prakash,

I am not clear about the usage of PBUSHT cards. It is there inside the PBUSH property itself. I wanted to know how the PBUSH K values are connected to the PBUSH T kN values. Does the K values represent a scale factor to the kN value?

    Hi Gopal.

Yes, it acts a scaling factor. Maybe you can test it your self with the attached model.

    HI,

Thank you for the file. I was able to see the behaviour by changing the values and it acted as scale factor.

    Hi,

I have attached an image for creating spring elements in optistruct. Does this dof in the image refers to tick the dof which along the axis of spring?<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>spring dof.JPGspring dof.JPG

    Gopal,

The selected Dof will be applied to the element

I made a similar file to check for scale factor functioning.

It is not working in the attached file for me and not able to find where I am doing the mistake

    Thank you

    Hi @gopal_rathore

In your model, you are applying a prescribed displacement which may not show the effect of the K.

Can you try with force as the load?

    Hi,

Sorry, my mistake, I have another with imposed displacement.

I will check and come back to you soon,
