want to trim a hole in 3D mesh.

I have meshed a geometry using tetramesh. Now I want to trim a whole in couple of places in the meshed part. I do not want to edit the surface/geometry because I do not want to remesh the part. Is there any method where I can trim a hole in the existing 3d mesh?

 

I know there is a method to do so for a 3D mesh. It is in Utility tab on the left side. But I cannot use it for 3D mesh.

    Dont know if you can do that directly with 3D TET mesh. But you can  extract face of hole from TET, make a closed 2D by adding some TRIA and then fill with TET.
