Mass calculation in topology optimization

Hi,
I am doing topology optimization for a cantilever beam and I want to know the mass reduction after optimization. Does anyone know how to calculate the mass for optimized result.
In lattice optimization , I can import the .fem file into hyperworks and calculate the mass. But for topology optimization, it didn't work. Is there anyway I can calculate the mass for topology optimized results.
Thank you,
Regards,
Soraya

Hello @Prakash Pagadala
I have a doubt related to the topic that was discussed above. I implemented the steps as mentioned in the sample video above. Now when i use the option, Tools ==> Mass calc, it shows only area but mass and volume. i chnaged the user profile to hypermesh and ls dyna. but it didnt help. any suggestions?
thank you

Hi Soraya,
Can you please check whether density on the Material card is available?
If not, please provide density to the material.

I guess it was me who had that doubt. /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' /> .
you mean in the .fem file or .oss.fem file, should i look for density entries? because in .fem file, there is. Its a foam material and the objective was to topologically optimize it. But in the .oss.fem file, i could see only component and properties data entry and nothing else.

Hello @Prakash Pagadala,
Never mind. found it. thanks . I used as it was mentioned in the video above. I think there was an error while doing it.
Thank you very much again.

Use OSSmooth Re-analysis to obtain the optimized FE deck. Please see this Tip and trick on how to use OSSmooth: http://www.altairuniversity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/1075.pdf
Use desired threshold value (ISO contour value) and create the FE of the optimized model. Go to Tool page>> MassCalc>> Calculate mass
