Hi all ,

 

   Can anybody explain me the different types of connections and welding used in HM and their uses that means when to use particular types of connection with their functionality  

?

    Connectors are geometric entities (not FE) primarily used to create spot- and seam welds, but also used to create adhesives, bolts and masses. They are mainly used to define which parts of a model have to be fastened to each other and how the connections have to be performed. The connectors can take into account the mechanical and structural conditions of the model.

    Hi, by means of welding, it is possible to make continuous, load bearing joints between the members of a structure. A variety of joints are used in structural steel work and they can be classified into four basic configurations, namely, Lap joint, Tee joint, Butt joint and Corner joint.
