Extract optimized geometry and export

I did an optimization process through OptiStruct of a basic cylindrical shell, varying its thickness. I want to continue working with the last iteration of my optimized structure, but can't find out how to export the data. Preferably I'd export the mesh specifying the thickness of each element and import it straight into Abaqus. It would also be useful to know how I can plot the element thicknesses somehow and create a cad file showing the design. Thus create a 3D structure with thickness, and not just a flat shell 3D structure.

After searching for quite a while, I feel that the way to go might be using OS Smooth, but I only manage to output a flat shell without displaying the thickness...

    Hi Tim_

could you brief what is the procedure you followed when using OSSmooth? have you tried with FEA Reanalysis option in OSSmooth?

When you say, you want to import the deck in Abaqus, how are you converting the OptiStruct deck to Abaqus deck?

If you want to convert and export OptiStruct deck to Abaqus, Use Tools Menu>> Convert>> OptiStruct>> To Abaqus
