Hi frnds ,

HI i  am beginner to hm , so can anyone explain me how to extract mid-surface for plastic ? as we know that automatic mid-surface will not work all the time , so plz guide me how you people work in corporate level to extract mid-surface in such scenario . explain me different methods of extracting mid-surface in critical situation .

 thanks in advance

If mid-surface extraction tool does not work, you can build yourself mid-surfaces, of course manually.

Yes, with complex plastic parts, auto-midsurface usually go out of neutral position with many errors

Try extract midsurface by each pair of surfaces then use surface-edit panel to combine/extend them. It is a tedious work

sometimes I have to use macro to move nodes to neutral position (they lay on midsurface, but midsurface usually incorrect)
