Errors with complex geometries
I am trying to mesh a complex geometry using Tetra and Volume tetra meshing.
Following errors i faced :
1.)Tetra Meshing.
2d meshing (using ''Edge deviation'' and ''mixed'' elements) was ok but during Tetra
mesh, it shows 707 elements failed.
Due to complexity of geometry, i run ''Geom Auto Clean-up'' and equivalenced edge
with 0.01 mm tolerance.
2.) Volume tetra mesh
A ''segmentation error'' appeared and hypermesh crashes down.
Please also understand, due to complexity of geometry, it is difficult to repair
every element.
I am running the simulation using Hyperworks Professional liscence v 13.0
Please help me troubleshoot the error.

Hi Palash,
Here is link for common errors and troubleshooting: http://forum.altairhyperworks.com/index.php?/topic/13782-quick-trouble-shooting-hw-malfunctions-deleting-settings-files/?hl=%2Bsegmentation+%2Berror
Please follow the procedure here - http://forum.altairh...ettings-files/
on the machine that produces the segmentation error

Hi Prakash,
Thanks for your answer but as a matter of fact, after deleting mentioned files, i am still getting the same segmentation error with Volume tetra and element error with tetra mesh.
Can you please suggest me any secure link, where i can share the pics.
Please be noted that the component is highly confidential and we already have ''Vertraulichkeit für Einbahrung'' (Agreement of confidentiality) with Altair in Germany/Poland.I hope the agreement will be valid for Altair India as well.
Thanks in advance and a very happy republic day!
Regards,
Palash Agrawal

Hi Palash,
You can use the dropbox link in my signature to share pics/model and we gurantee you that all your shared material will be confidential with Altair.

Hello Prakash,
Thanks for your answer but unfortunately the dropbox is blocked at my workplace. Can you share your e-mail id, where i can send you the pictures ?

Palash,
Please check out this new feature that might help you called adaptive wrapper meshing - http://www.altairuniversity.com/2014/10/27/new-wrapper-meshing-option-in-hypermesh-13-0/
