Display Settings...
I'm just begining to dive into Evolve and I have one question, right off the bat. The geometry is flashing between a normal appearance and a very strange looking pattern on the surface. I believe it's the 'render mesh', to use a Rhino term. As I rotate, zoom, etc., all of the geomtry is flashing between these two states. When I stop, sometimes it's the normal appearance, sometimes it's not. I've tried playing with the View settings, which has no effect on the flashing, it only changes the size of the 'render mesh' that I see. See attached images for an example. Could this be computer display or video card settings? I'm running Evolve on Windows 7, on a MacBook Pro, via Bootcamp.
Any Ideas for me to try?
Thanks.

Hi,
please try to disable 'High quality shading(Phong)' under - Preferences-View-Advanced OpenGL options
Thanks,

Ok, one more odd thing to report. As my day is winding down, I've been exiting my various applications. I've noticed that although I only have Firefox and Outlook open at this point, the fan on my laptop is sounding like I'm still modeling. When I bring up Task Manager, the only applications running are the two I've already indicated, but my CPU usage is still 50%. When I look at the Processes tab, I have 4 instances of Evolve.exe listed, and each instance is using 13% of my CPU (see attached). This corresponds exactly to how many times I've opened and exited the Evolve application. As a test, I just opened Evolve again and exited and I have another instance of it showing in my Processes tab, with another 13% of my cpu allocated to it (along with some RAM for each instance, too).

I ended those processes from the task manager and my cpu usage went back down to 0%. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed/reported this.

Can you provide your computer specs and OS information so we can try to reproduce this issue?

Just a note on this last issue of Evolve processes remaining after I've quit the application. I have not had this happen recently. Other than a few Windows 7 updates and other minor things, nothing much has changed, but I haven't had this happen in quite some time.

That is strange. Let us know if you see this problem again.
