    Hi Ahilan,

Are you converting the OS solver model to Abaqus solver model>> export and import the same back in Abaqus profile?

or ar you just exporting to Abaqus deck from OptiStruct profile?

If converting, the numbers retain provided all conversion entities are supported.

sir, i am exporting abaqus solver deck from OS Profile. And then i solve in abaqus.

(My problem is abaqus shows some elements has zero volume; it shows element id as well in the error message; and i want to find and edit those elements in hypermesh; thats why i want to know whether element numbering remains same)

Sure, by exporting to solver mesh, the numbering remains the same. So you can follow element ID in solver's error message to check within Hypermesh without any problem.

    Ahlian,

Are you trying to convert OS deck to Abaqus?

if that is the case it is not a good idea to export to Abaqus deck from OS. Instead convert OS to Abaqus.

Go to Tools menu>> Convert>> OptiStruct to Abaqus to convert to Abaqus from OS.

Sorry.I mentioned mistakenly.I am using as you mentioned only( OS profile to abaqus profile to export abaqus solver deck). Thanks for all inputs.
