Hi Eric,
Looks there is some problem with the tutorial. .Anyways, you can follow the same methodology for your case.

Hey Prakash,
Thanks for solving my problems so far, i got the model running now.
But there is still some problem left, i did create contactsurfaces inside the contacttab which provided me some sets and groups.
The card image is Contact and the the type is STICK, but somehow thats not fully working.I checked the sets to be in the right direction.
The middle part which is supposed to get onto the hooks doesnt make contact with the hooks and just got a massive displacement. Can you help me with this matter?
Thanks in forward0 -

Sadly cant share the model but i noticed eventually that the distance between both components is too big.
Is there any way to simply move it without having to redo all the work did before?
Thanks in forward /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />0 -
Hi Eric,
You can translate the component. Use Shift+F4 to translate the component

The model fully functions now so thanks for that, but the displacement still looks a bit odd.
It's like instead of colliding into eachother, that they only move further from eachother.
I still got a gap of 1.5 [mm] in between the two surfaces and made a stick contact in between them.Is there any way i can make sure that they touch instead of actually making the gap bigger? pr is this just a visual error?
I hope you can help me again /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />0 -
Hi Eric
Output Contact forces using control cards>> CONTF>>ALL
contour the same and if you see any contour this means contact is actually happening.

I can only see CONTPRM in the control cards menu or am i in the wrong screen?
Edit:
Was asking this question to fast, already found it myself inside the output part.
Will let it run and will let you know, thanks!0 -
Sorry, I didn't gave the right path
it is Control Cards>>global output request>> CONTF>>ALL

No problem at all, i found the path by looking into help /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
It's making contact but i noticed that it might be caused by another problem.
As you might know i got a layer of glue between the components but for now the layer is still behaving as a solid and not showing that it would peel off or something which puts more pressure on the other layer.
Is it doable to simulate this layer of glue or is that asking for too much expertise about a certain layer of glue?
Thanks in forward /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />0 -
So you dont see any stress or displacement for the layer?
Not sure what is happening, But can help if I can have the model.

Maybe it will be partly solved if i remesh the glue area since the mesh is just 1 thick there but 10 wide, but last time i tried it didnt work.
Maybe because this mesh is automatically generated when determing the adhesive layer with an area connector. For now i see a minor displacement and some stress.
But instead of having more stress at the maximum distance of the bracket, its the other way around and the bracket is pushing onto the layer and you can even see that in the layer underneath.
Will provide to close ups to give you an idea how it works, will put some info on it to give an better idea of the sitaution since i cant really share the model. Should i upload them to your filetransferlink?
